In September UAE’s Artificial Intelligence university MBZUAI will welcome its first students

The UAE’s first Artificial Intelligence university is set to open in September following a delayed start due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Titled the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), it will cater for both local and international students, who will receive full scholarships, salary and accommodation.  The university is an important component of the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence 2031 strategy.  For example, the MBZUAI recently announced a partnership with Virgin Hyperloop to develop advanced transportation systems in the UAE.

Once open the university will offer both Masters and PhD level courses as follows:

• Computer Vision (PhD)
• Machine Learning (PhD)
• Natural Language Processing (PhD)
• Computer Vision (MSc)
• Machine Learning (MSc)
• Natural Language Processing (MSc)

The university is also forging strong links with China, a key role for Dr. Al Yousuf, Executive Vice President for Outreach and Engagement.

MBZUAI is the world’s first graduate-level, research-based artificial intelligence (AI) university.
