Thakaa Technologies, a Qatari EdTech and IoT company, prepares to release an educational prayer rug

Thakaa Technologies, a Qatari EdTech and IoT company, is planning to release the world’s first educational prayer rug.  Having received seed capital of $100,000 from the Qatar Foundation the rug can be used by both children and adults alike to learn prayers, posture and recite verses from the Qur’an.

The rug called Sajdah features an integrated screen and some of the key features as can be seen in the video below include:

Before co-founding Thakaa Technologies, CEO Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis participated in a public national accelerator programme – XLR8 which was organised by the Qatar Science and Technology Park and he ended up being one of the finalists.
