Veative Labs and Lenovo release VR classroom solution

Veative Labs and Lenovo have released a VR Classroom Solution as part of a global collaboration.  The VR content produced by Veative will be accessible on Lenovo computers through Lenovo’s new Distance Learning Solution or on Lenovo’s VR devices through the new VR Classroom 2.0 solution.  40 virtual reality modules are available featuring content including science, mathematics and virtual tours.  An upgrade is required to access the entire collection of 550 interactive STEM modules.  A WebXR app enables computer users to view the interactive content.

Based in Singapore, Veative was founded in 2016 by Ankur Aggarwal, with support from Almotahida Education Group.  Prior to launching Veative, Aggarwal was the Founder and CEO of eLearning company Piron Corporation.  Veative currently operates a production centre in India and employs over 200 staff members.  Its VR solution incorporates a learning platform through which educators can manage devices, distribute content and view usage analytics.

Lenovo’s Distance Learning Solution aims to provide software that can be added to device orders.  The software is organised into three categories: cybersecurity and student safety, remote class management and instructional resources.

“ This collaboration shows our commitment to transforming the way education is delivered. The Veative solution combines powerful technology with research-based instructional practices, rigorous and aligned content, formative assessment data, and analytics. We focus on the needs of teachers and students by developing content that integrates seamlessly into existing curricula, while being easy to use, and attending to learning outcomes, regardless of hardware device or location…” Ankur Aggarwal, CEO, Veative

As part of the Distance Learning Solution, Lenovo released a Distance Learning Toolkit webinar.  This webinar provides an overview of how Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom can be used to manage online learning, alongside other apps including Explain Everything, Seesaw and Flipgrid.
